There are still some small towns in America that have wholesome July 4th Parades. Every July 4th at around 12 noon the community of Summerhaven, Arizona comes together to host the annual July 4th Parade.
The parade generally begins with the Air Force from Davis Monthan Air Force Base conducting a flyover right above the community to kick things off. While there are no fireworks, the Air Force helps to make-up for it with their own loud noises! The parade features antique cars, fire trucks, some military vehicles and lots of nostalgic additions in the line-up.
The weather is generally in the 70s for highs with the 50s overnight. We usually experience our first storm chances of the summer monsoon season in early July. You will want to check the weather in advance and consider bringing an umbrella just in case. Weather can be checked directly at www.mtlemmonweather.com. You will want to have your lawn chairs set-up on the main road, Sabino Canyon Parkway at least a couple hours prior to the parade starting to get the best seating.
This weekend is probably our most popular weekend for bookings in the year. We encourage you to book far in advance at www.mtlemmonhotel.com
