The Sky Center

Sky Center UofA on mt lemmon

Mount Lemmon Observatory, also known as the Mount Lemmon Infrared Observatory, is an astronomical observatory located on Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains approximately 28 kilometers northeast of Tucson, Arizona. This is one of the most spectacular ways to look into the heavens, with the deserts clean air and Tucson's limited light ordinance - the viewing from nearly 9,200 feet in elevation is amazing. We've been able to see clear shots of Jupiter and other planets that feel as if you are right there touching them.
